TOURNAMENT

SEASON ONE

TOURNAMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The tournament will feature 12 teams competing in a league format, divided into three groups of four teams each. (First Round)
2. Only the top two teams from each group will advance to the second round. Advancement will be determined based on the scoring table.
3. In both the first and second rounds, each match will consist of a BEST-OF-THREE SETS played to 25 points.
5. In the second round, the six qualifying teams will compete based on their rankings from the first round. The first-ranked team of one group will play against the second-ranked team of another group, determined by a draw.
6. In the third round, the top 3 teams will qualify to compete in a final league.
7. Matches in the third round will be played best-of-three sets, with all sets up to 25 points EXCLUDING the decider set UP TO 15 POINTS.
8. The final rankings will be determined based on the total points accumulated in the third round.
9. Prizes will be awarded to the teams finishing in first, second, and third place.


REGULATIONS & REGISTRATION

1. Each team must consist of a minimum of EIGHT players (8) and a maximum of 10 players (10).

2. Teams MUST HAVE FOUR male and TWO female players DURING THE MATCH.
3. Each team is permitted a maximum of one professional player who is currently registered and active in an international or national club.
4. Only players who have been retired for at least two years from professional play will be considered non-professional team members and are allowed to play as a non-professional team member.
5. All team players must be registered by their team captain using the official registration form on the website, which confirms that all players have electronically agreed to the tournament’s terms.

6. THE SPIKE IT TEAM REGISTRATION FEE IS
(KWD 30) PER PLAYER.
7. THE TEAM REGISTRATION FEE IS TO BE PAID BY THE TEAM CAPTAIN FOLLOWING THE SUBMISSION OF THE REGISTRATION FORM.
8. TEAM CAPTAINS ARE WELCOME TO SECURE SPONSORS TO COVER THIER TEAM FEES.
9. Once the registration form is finalized and posted online, no players can be changed in a team under any circumstances.
10. All participants and registered attendees are required to adhere to SPIKE it terms and conditions, comply with the instructions of authorized organizers and referees, and respect the regulations of the VENUE.


TECHNICAL RULES

1. Each team is allowed one timeout per match.
2. All team players must serve in a rotational order.
3. Each team is permitted up to FOUR substitutions per set.

4. ONLY LIBERO CAN COME IN AND OUT OF THE COURT BEFORE OR AFTER A SERVE POINT IS BROKEN AND IS NOT COUNTED AS A SUBSTITUTE.
5. LIBEROS WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT COLOR JERSEY.
6. All players must wear their team jerseys at all times during the match; this is mandatory.
7. A coin toss at the beginning of the match will determine the choice of court or serve.


TEAM BENEFITS & PRIZES

1. Each team will receive a branded tournament jersey, towel, HOODIE courtesy of Spike it.
2. all teams will HAVE SPECIAL OFFERS FROM TOURNAMENT SPONSORS.
3. each team will be provided with their own branded photo album.

4. TEAM MEMBERS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO USE THE PHYSIOTHERAPY AND MASSAGE PRODUCTS BOOTH DURING THE TOURNAMENT.
4. each team will have the opportunity to win awards and gifts through the “award voting system” for the following.
