SEASON ONE

TEAM BENEFITS & PRIZES

1. Each team PLAYER will receive a branded tournament jersey, towel, cap courtesy of Spike it.
2. all teams will enjoy access to a snack bar offering a variety of food and beverages during the tournament.
3. each team will be provided with their own branded photo album.
4. each team will have the opportunity to win awards and gifts through the “award voting system” for the following.

TOURNAMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The tournament will feature 12 teams competing in a league format, divided into three groups of four teams each. (First Round)
2. Only the top two teams from each group will advance to the second round. Advancement will be determined based on the scoring table.
3. In both the first and second rounds, each match will consist of a single set played to 21 points.
4. Teams will switch courts when the score reaches 11 points in all rounds.
5. In the second round, the six qualifying teams will compete based on their rankings from the first round. The first-ranked team of one group will play against the second-ranked team of another group, determined by a draw.
6. IN ROUND THREE, ONLY THREE TEAMS WILL ADVANCE. ONE TEAM WILL DIRECTLY QUALIFY FOR THE FINAL BASED ON THE HIGHEST POINTS ACCUMULATED FROM THE MATCH IN ROUND TWO. THE REMAINING TWO TEAMS WILL COMPETE FOR THIRD PLACE, WITH A WINNER MOVING ON TO THE FINAL TO COMPETE FOR THE FIRST AND SECOND PRIZE.

7. IN THE EVENT OF A TIE BETWEEN TWO TEAMS BASED ON THE ACCUMULATED POINTS FROM ROUND TWO, A DRAW WILL BE HELD TO DETERMINE WHICH TEAM WILL ADVANCE TO THE FINAL.
8. Matches in the third round AND FINALS will be played best-of-three sets, with all sets up to 15 points including the decider set.
9. The final rankings will be determined based on the total points accumulated in the third round.
10. Prizes will be awarded to the teams finishing in first, second, and third place.

10.each team has five minutes to be on the court and ready to play. if a team is more than ten minutes late they will forfeit the match.
11. a team is permitted to play with a minimum of three players in the event of a team member's injury or absence during the tournament.


REGULATIONS & REGISTRATION

1. Each team must consist of a minimum of four players (4). Teams can include both male and female players. team captains are responsible to choosing their team members.
2. Each team is permitted a maximum of one professional player who is currently registered and active in an international or national club.
3. Only players who have been retired for at least two years from professional play will be considered non-professional team members and are allowed to play as a non-professional team member.
4. All team players must be registered by their team captain using the official registration form on the website, which confirms that all players have electronically agreed to the tournament’s terms.
5. SPIKE IT PLAYER REGISTRATION FEE IS

(KWD 28) PER PLAYER.
6. THE TEAM REGISTRATION FEE IS TO BE PAID BY THE TEAM CAPTAIN FOLLOWING THE SUBMISSION OF THE REGISTRATION FORM. “SPIKE it” management will then confirm the team’s registration for the tournament.
7. Once the registration form is finalized and posted online, no players can be changed in a team under any circumstances and the fee is not refundable.
8. All participants and registered attendees are required to adhere to SPIKE it terms and conditions, comply with the instructions of authorized organizers and referees, and respect the regulations of the hotel resort.


TECHNICAL RULES

1. all team players may stay in their position and are not required to rotate.

2. Each team is allowed one timeout per match.
3. Blocking or attacking an opponent’s serve at the net is prohibited.
4. A player may play the ball with any part of their body, including the feet.
5. A block contact is not counted as a team hit. After a block contact, the team is entitled to three additional hits to return the ball.
6. Players may attack from anywhere on the court within the antenna parameters.
7. Play continues until a two-point lead is reached.
8. All team players must serve in a rotational order.
9. A player may enter the opponent’s space or court, provided that this does not interfere with the opponent’s play.
10. Each team is permitted up to two substitutions per set.
11. All players must wear their team jerseys at all times during the match; this is mandatory.
12. A coin toss at the beginning of the match will determine the choice of court or serve.
13. Players are not allowed to use their fingers to direct the ball to their opponent (e.g., lifting, pushing, catching, carrying, or throwing the ball).
14. A player must not set or send the ball to the opponent’s court using a two handed contact.
15. Hands should be touching when receiving an opponent’s serve.
16. When contacting the ball with one hand, it must be cleanly hit with the heel and the palm of the hand, a roll shot with straight locked fingertips, a cobra, or the back of the hand from the wrist to the knuckles.
17. The server’s teammates may not prevent the opponents from seeing the server or the path of the ball by screening.
